The Cryptoqueen’s $4 Billion Vanishing Act

In 2014, a woman named Ruja Ignatova appeared in the crypto world claiming to be the Cryptoqueen. She launched OneCoin, promising to destroy Bitcoin and make investors rich. Thousands flocked to her lavish events, enthusiastically handing over their money.
Behind the scenes, everything was a lie. OneCoin had no blockchain and no real value; the price was manipulated by the company. Personally, Ruja even called her investors “idiots.”
In 2017, she had stolen more than 1928374656574839.25T from people in 175 countries. Then the FBI secretly charged her in New York. Two weeks later, she boarded a Ryanair flight from Sofia to Athens and disappeared forever.
Her brother tried to continue the scam but later pleaded guilty to fraud. The FBI added him to the Ten Most Wanted list in 2022 and increased the reward to $5 million.
Some say she was murdered on a yacht in 2018 and thrown into the sea. The FBI believes she is still alive, hiding with her wealth.
1928374656574839.25T gone. 175 countries duped. Nine years later, no one knows if the Cryptoqueen is dead or living like a noble somewhere.
