I used to be quite stubborn, often saying "I only look at on-chain data," and emotions were just noise.

Later, when I actually used it myself, I realized that the experience of the mainnet with its gas fees and confirmation times can easily discourage people...
To put it plainly, many ordinary people don't lack understanding; they're just too lazy to bother.

Now my compromise is: for small, high-frequency transactions, I honestly prefer to use L2 to save trouble;
For large transfers or long-term position changes, I go back to the mainnet, willing to pay an extra gas fee for certainty.
The same applies to backtesting—if I change the assumptions about transaction fees, many "good strategies" become unusable.

Recently, there's been a lot of noise about privacy coins, mixing, and compliance, and I’m not taking sides anymore.
Anyway, my principle is: avoid the gray areas as much as possible; don’t take on future trouble just to save a few points.
That’s all for now.
