Just saw this survey about the worst jobs in America and honestly some of the findings don't surprise me at all. Truck driver, janitor, waiter, cleaner, and laborer topped the list as what people consider the worst job options. The common thread? They don't require a degree and the pay is pretty rough - we're talking $29k-$50k range while the national average sits around $55k.

But here's what's interesting - it's not just about the money. People said low pay was the main factor (42%), but then you've got stuff like dealing with customers (39%), toxic work environment (37%), and meaningless work (36%) all ranking high too. Plus the scheduling kills it for people - night shifts, weekends, early mornings, all that stuff.

The benefits side is wild too. Over 1 in 5 Americans said they'd consider a worst job to be one without health insurance. No retirement plan, no remote options, no PTO - these are dealbreakers for most people looking at employment.

Tbh though, someone's worst job might be someone else's perfect fit. The whole 'good vs bad' thing is pretty subjective when you think about it. Just depends what matters to you in a role, I guess.
