Chinese and Russian individuals discuss strengthening educational cooperation
Hosted jointly by the Central Scholars’ Home of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russia-China Friendship Association, the China-Russia Education Cooperation Seminar was held in Moscow on the 21st, where representatives from China and Russia engaged in in-depth discussions on hosting the “China-Russia Education Year” and strengthening educational cooperation and talent development. Chargé d’affaires and Counselor Cao Shihai of the Chinese Embassy in Russia stated at the seminar that hosting the “China-Russia Education Year” in 2026 and 2027 will help promote deeper practical cooperation between the two countries, enhance cultural exchanges and people-to-people interactions, and promote common development. Within the framework of the “China-Russia Education Year,” both sides have developed multiple activity plans. China is willing to work with Russia to strengthen communication and cooperation, jointly promote joint talent training, joint scientific research, and joint educational management. Galina Kulikova, First Vice President of the Russia-China Friendship Association, said that hosting the “Russia-China Education Year” marks a new stage of upgrading the quality of educational cooperation between the two countries. Both sides should cultivate more young talents to contribute to further cooperation between China and Russia. Konstantin Balaboshkin, Director of the Chinese Language and Literature Teaching and Research Office at the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Moscow State University, stated that Moscow State University has maintained close teaching and scientific research cooperation with Chinese universities for many years and will continue to strengthen exchanges in the future, promoting stable and long-term Russia-China educational cooperation through interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration.
