Just been looking at how some aerospace plays have been doing, and Moog (MOG.A) has actually been crushing it compared to the rest of the sector. While the aerospace group overall was up around 15-16%, Moog managed to gain over 40% that same period. That's a pretty solid outperformance when you think about it.
What caught my eye is that analyst sentiment on Moog kept getting better throughout the year. Their earnings estimates kept getting revised upward, which usually signals that the company's doing better than people expected. The stock has a solid ranking from the major research groups too. There's another aerospace name, Outdoor Holding (POWW), that also beat the sector, though not quite as dramatically as Moog did.
If you're looking at aerospace stocks, Moog and a few others in this space seem worth keeping on your radar. The sector itself is ranked pretty high overall, and when individual stocks like Moog can outperform by that much, it suggests some real fundamental strength underneath. Not financial advice obviously, just what I've been noticing in the data.
