Xinjiang Alashankou Port's import and export freight volume reached 8.25M tons in the first quarter

Statistical data shows that in the first quarter of this year, the import and export freight volume at Alashankou Port increased significantly, injecting strong momentum into high-quality cross-border trade development. In the first quarter, the import and export freight volume at Alashankou Port reached 8.25M tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%. Among them, import freight volume was 6.88M tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%; export freight volume was 1.36M tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.8%. The import side focuses on agricultural and sideline products, bulk commodities, accounting for over 80% of the freight volume. The export side maintains rapid growth, with both rail and road channels exerting efforts. As of now, the China-Europe Railway Express lines at Alashankou Railway Port have reached 128, covering 21 countries and regions including Germany and Poland, while the road port covers 75 countries and regions.
