Just came across some interesting data on Texas' richest neighborhoods and the wealth distribution is pretty wild. The Houston area dominates - West University Place is sitting at nearly $410k average household income with homes averaging $1.75M. That's the top spot overall. But what caught my attention is how many suburbs around Dallas-Fort Worth are packed into the top rankings too. Southlake, University Park, even smaller towns like Celina are all pushing $180k-$380k in average household income. The richest neighborhood in Houston scene is really concentrated in a few pockets. Beyond West University Place, you've got Bellaire hitting $311k and Fulshear around $210k. Meanwhile over in Austin, Steiner Ranch leads at $232k average income. What's interesting is the home values don't always track with income - some of these places have homes averaging $2.4M while others with similar incomes sit closer to $600k-$800k. Real estate market dynamics are different across each metro area. Anyway, if you're curious about where the money is concentrated in Texas, these 20 suburbs basically tell the whole story. The gap between #1 and #20 is pretty significant though - we're talking $410k down to $165k in average household income.
