Just checked Bitcoin's performance over the past five years and the numbers are wild. If you'd thrown $1,000 into BTC back in 2020, you'd be sitting on over $10,600 right now. That's roughly a 10x return, which honestly beats most traditional investments. Bitcoin hit an all-time high around $126K earlier this year, though it's pulled back to around $76K at the moment. Still up massively from five years ago though. What's interesting is that this doesn't even account for people who got into mining when it was more accessible - that's another way some early adopters accumulated serious Bitcoin holdings. The crypto industry is getting clearer regulatory frameworks now, which seems to be helping with adoption. Interest rate cuts could be another catalyst pushing things forward. Obviously past performance doesn't guarantee future returns, but the long-term trend has been pretty hard to ignore for patient holders.
