Just saw Sanofi signed off on this massive 1 billion euro buyback program for 2026. They announced it back in January but officially locked in the mandate on February 2nd. So basically they're gonna be repurchasing their own shares between now and the end of the year with that budget. Stock was trading around $47 when they announced this, which is kinda interesting timing for a buyback. Usually means management thinks the stock is undervalued or they're trying to boost shareholder returns. The whole thing's supposed to wrap up by December 31st at the latest. Not sure if this is bullish or just standard corporate financial engineering, but the fact that they're willing to sign for a full billion euros suggests they're pretty confident about their position. What do you guys think about pharma companies doing these massive buybacks?
