So I was looking up highest paying teen jobs for summer and found this pretty interesting breakdown. Didn't realize some of these gigs pay way more than I thought.
Obviously the construction and skilled trades stuff tops out—carpenter at like $28.51/hr and food service manager at $31.40/hr. But those need experience or training. For actual entry-level highest paying teen jobs, the delivery driver roles at $20+ and customer service reps are solid. Office clerk work also pays decent at around $21/hr if you don't mind the desk job vibe.
The physical work options are wild too. Landscaping starts at $19.13, packaging and stocking are both $18.12. Honestly thought those would pay less. Nursing assistant is interesting if you're into healthcare—$18.96 and you actually learn something useful.
Couries and security guards are around $18.44-$18.46 if you need flexibility or just want something straightforward. Not life-changing money but decent for a first job.
The thing about highest paying teen jobs is most of them either need a license (driver's license for couriers/delivery), some training (nursing, construction, auto tech), or you gotta work your way up (retail supervisor needs a year of retail first). Food service manager paying over $30/hr is the top but obviously you need restaurant experience.
If you're just starting out with zero experience, looks like packaging, stocking, and basic customer service are your realistic entry points. Then you can level up to the better-paying stuff once you know what you're doing. Not bad for summer money honestly.
