Never thought I'd be excited about a red-eye but the more I think about it, there's actually some solid money moves here if you're trying to travel cheap.

Like, the biggest one - you basically skip a whole hotel night. If you fly out late instead of during the day, you land in the morning and can just start your trip. That's literally hundreds of dollars saved right there. Plus you get an extra full day at your destination instead of losing it to travel time. That's actually kind of genius.
