Been down the NFT rabbit hole lately and realized most people have no idea where to actually buy this stuff. Everyone knows about OpenSea - it's basically the OG marketplace, supports everything from art to in-game items across multiple blockchains. But there's a whole ecosystem out there most people sleep on. CryptoPunks is wild if you're into that pixel art collectible scene, though fair warning the floor is insane. Then you've got the more curated spots like SuperRare and MakersPlace that gatekeep harder but supposedly have better quality pieces. I checked out Rarible and it's pretty solid for artists who want to mint multiple editions. The interesting part is seeing how different blockchains got their own marketplaces - Solanart came through for Solana before everyone was building there. Nifty Gateway got famous for those celebrity drops with Eminem and The Weeknd back in the day. Honestly the whole nft marketplace space has matured way more than it was a few years ago. Whether you're serious about collecting or just curious, there's definitely an nft marketplace fit for your vibe now. The crazy part is how many options exist when you actually look - makes you wonder which ones will actually stick around long term though.
