Just caught that TD Bank moved up their CEO transition - Raymond Chun is taking over from Bharat Masrani earlier than originally planned. Was supposed to happen in April but they accelerated it to February 1st. Interesting timing.

Masrani's staying on in an advisory capacity through July to help with AML stuff, so not a total handoff. Meanwhile the board is tightening things up - shortening director term extensions from five years down to two, and they're bringing in four new directors plus reshuffling committee chairs. Seems like they're making some structural changes alongside the leadership swap.

Raymond Chun coming in as both CEO and president, so they're consolidating those roles. The board governance overhaul suggests they're being pretty deliberate about this transition. Stock was up a bit in pre-market trading when this dropped, which usually means investors are cool with the move. Not sure if this is a sign of major strategic shifts ahead or just normal succession planning, but worth watching how Chun steers things.
