Lately I’ve gotten a bit too carried away earning testnet points. Even though they say it’s just practice, in my head I’ve started quietly calculating how much I might be able to swap for later… Once it turns into an expectation, it’s easy to keep putting in more and more. My stop-loss is pretty “rustic”/old-school: first, I set a hard limit on how much time and fees I can spend each day—once I go over, I stop. Then I give each new protocol a “maximum trust limit”; even if the tasks aren’t finished, I won’t add any more. Especially these days, when cross-chain bridges keep having issues and when oracles report errors—everyone’s there “waiting for confirmation” to look stable, but the risk hasn’t actually disappeared. In any case, I’d rather miss out on the points now than stake my mainnet wallet and my emotions on some possible airdrop. For now, that’s it.
