📰 【Security Alert: Wasabi Hacked, About $2.9 Million Stolen】

BlockBeats reports that on April 30, according to CertiK monitoring, the Wasabi protocol experienced a security vulnerability, and approximately $2.9 million in funds has already been stolen. Preliminary investigation shows that the attacker obtained privileged roles by deploying a wallet via Wasabi, and then carried out the attack. The stolen funds are currently stored across multiple addresses, and the incident is still under investigation.

Another one got sliced. $2.9 million—this kind of DeFi project can’t even get basic permission management right. Was the code audit done by grade-schoolers? The hacker used a most basic privilege-escalation attack and emptied the pool. This market is just a graveyard for low-quality code, an automated teller machine for retail investors.
