Recently, someone kept telling me, "I saw it on the chain," and then the next second, they ask why it still hasn't shown up on my end... Basically, what you're seeing is often fed to you by RPCs or indexers, not the chain itself talking directly to you. Slow node synchronization, overwhelmed RPCs, indexers still crawling, and the result is: for the same transaction, some people are already celebrating, while others are still in "pending" status. The experience is pretty mystical.
Modular architecture, DA layer narratives are now a hot topic among developers, but most users (including me) are just confused: I just want to know if the signature I clicked is fake or if the transaction actually got on the chain. Too much information really causes anxiety. My current filtering method is pretty crude: only trust two sources for key actions and cross-verify (block explorer + another RPC/frontend), and if that doesn't work, wait for a few blocks. Better to be slow than to be tricked by those three words "displayed" into clicking next. Hardware wallets may gather dust, but when you press the physical button, you still need to stay alert.
