According to TechCrunch's Startup Spotlight, AI governance startup Protum is raising $2 million in seed funding, with a goal to complete it before June 2026. Protum was founded by Sandeep J., who has 25 years of experience in enterprise transformation. Protum offers a platform designed to enable businesses to continuously obtain assurance, ensuring their AI agents are safe and governed. The platform includes a 42-risk security framework for AI transformation maturity models, as well as an Agent Trust Record that continuously scans and updates the trust status of deployed AI systems. The company is currently self-funded and is working with businesses in Singapore and the Gulf region to scope out their initial productization assessments.
