Recently, I’ve been looking at a bunch of testnet incentive and points farming group chats, and everyone is guessing whether the mainnet will really launch tokens… I’m actually more worried about those “quiet rule changes” around the launch time.

Newbies want to see if a project is reliable, and right now I focus on three things:
Is there long-term activity on GitHub (not expecting to understand the code, at least don’t let it be inactive for half a year and still pretend to be active),
Don’t just look at the cover logo of the audit report, you need to check if there are “repaired/unrepaired” items, and whether the upgrade permissions are multi-signature, who can act, how many people can act, basically don’t let one person hold all the power over life and death.
If I had paid more attention to the upgrade permissions back then, I might not have been scared by the “urgent upgrade” and woken up in the middle of the night to add to my position…
Anyway, I now take screenshots before operating to keep evidence, try not to borrow if I can, and the anxiety is real.
