Core Scientific Repurposes Texas Bitcoin Mine Into 1.5GW AI Data Center Campus
Core Scientific is converting its Pecos, Texas, Bitcoin mining site into an AI data center campus with up to 1.5 gigawatts of gross power capacity. About 1 gigawatt of that planned capacity is expected to be available for leasing. The first data hall is in vertical construction, with initial capacity targeted for early 2027.
