I’ve always been pretty conflicted about the whole PFP and membership setup. To put it plainly, a good-looking avatar can only carry you for a while. If there’s real long-term value, it has to be like an open-source project—able to deliver continuously, with someone maintaining it, and with rules that are transparent. Otherwise, you’re just buying a “qualification to be noticed.”

Recently, there’s been a whole wave of testnet incentives and expectations tied to points, and people in the group are guessing every day whether the mainnet will issue tokens. The more I see, the more I just want to ask one question: besides waiting for an airdrop, what can you actually do with it?

Personally, I’m more willing to treat membership as “permissions + responsibility”—the ability to vote, submit proposals, and get clear services/tools. It would be even better if you can also read the contract and vault logic clearly… In any case, I’d rather go slower, and I don’t want to keep paying tuition over and over just for short-term attention. If you want to rush, that’s fine too—just remember to read the terms and the code first. Don’t just look at the pictures.
