Deep Tide TechFlow News, April 30th, according to The Wall Street Journal, the White House has made it clear to Anthropic that it opposes their plan to expand the usage of their artificial intelligence model Mythos. Recently, Anthropic proposed allowing approximately 70 additional companies and institutions to access the Mythos system, bringing the total number of entities with access to about 120. In response, government officials explicitly expressed opposition on security grounds.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that some White House officials are concerned that Mythos has the capability to launch cyberattacks and cause large-scale destruction online, believing that expanding access poses security risks. Additionally, some officials have questioned Anthropic’s computational resources, thinking it may be unable to serve a large number of new entities while ensuring effective government use of the system.

Currently, although both sides intend to ease tensions, disagreements over Mythos access permissions remain unresolved.
