Houthi rebels in Yemen uncover espionage network related to the U.S. and Israel

Golden Finance reports that on April 29, the Houthi forces in Yemen issued a statement saying that, in a security operation, they uncovered a “spy network” and released some of the latest confessions from individuals involved. The statement alleged that the network was linked to intelligence agencies of countries including the United States and Israel. The statement said that the operation was codenamed “Conspiracy Will Ultimately Fail,” and that the security department controlled by the Houthis arrested a group of people suspected of carrying out intelligence activities.

According to the statement, some of the arrested individuals were accused of collecting sensitive information, including monitoring important civilian, security, and military facilities, and providing data such as coordinates to relevant parties. The statement said that this information was used to carry out strike operations, causing casualties among local personnel. The statement also said that the individuals involved were recruited through intermediaries, with targets including military personnel as well as people who had the ability to obtain relevant information. The suspects indirectly obtained information by participating in public activities and building social network connections, including by contacting government officials or their relatives, to collect information such as military capabilities, personnel movements, meetings, and locations where troops were stationed.

In its statement, the Houthis said they would continue to maintain a high level of vigilance and crack down on any actions that endanger security and stability. ( CCTV News )
