Lately I've been struggling again: should I run on the mainnet for "orthodoxy," or be honest and stick with L2 to save gas? Others think that moving to L2 means mindless cheap and smooth transactions, but in reality, bridging back and forth + waiting for confirmations can be quite mystical... My current compromise is: for daily small and frequent transactions, I use L2; only keep the mainnet for large, long-term, or protocols with stable cash flow, preferring to do less and avoid getting emotionally overwhelmed every time I calculate fees.

And then there's the modular and DA layer narratives, developers are talking excitedly, but as a user, I only care about two things: no lag, no high costs. When yields are high, I start fantasizing about retiring, but I still reach for the calculator: whether the gas saved is actually eaten up by "tinkering costs"... Anyway, for now, I'll just keep slowly finding a path that suits me.
