The Federal Reserve keeps the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 3.5%–3.75%, in line with market expectations

Golden Finance reports that on April 30th, the Federal Reserve kept the benchmark interest rate range unchanged at 3.5%-3.75%, meeting market expectations. This is the third consecutive time this year that the rate has been maintained, a level that has persisted since the last rate cut in December 2025. The interest rate was also held steady at the January, March, and April meetings in 2026, aligning with market expectations of “holding steady.”
