Bloomberg News reported on the 29th that, according to a senior White House official, the U.S. government is seeking to "confiscate" two oil tankers related to Iran that the U.S. Navy intercepted recently.


According to Odaily Planet Daily, the official stated that the U.S. Department of Justice has initiated a "confiscation" process but did not specify the details or whether there are plans to "confiscate" the crude oil loaded on the tankers.
The official, citing "operational security," refused to disclose the final disposition of the ships or their sailing routes.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Navy intercepted and boarded two "Iranian oil transport" tankers in the Indian Ocean on the 20th and 22nd.
