CryptoWorld News reports that the U.S. government is calling on other countries to join a new international alliance to help ships pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. State Department sent an internal cable to embassies on Tuesday outlining this initiative called "Ocean Freedom Build," urging American diplomats to encourage foreign governments to sign relevant agreements. The cable states that the U.S.-led alliance will share information, conduct diplomatic coordination, and implement sanctions. The alliance will be managed jointly by the U.S. State Department and the Central Command, with the former serving as the diplomatic coordination hub and the latter providing support for commercial shipping and coordinating information sharing among participating military forces.
