The briefing indicates that Trump is seriously considering resuming large-scale operations to break the deadlock in negotiations or to deliver a decisive strike before ending the war.
Three sources familiar with the matter said that Central Command has prepared a plan for a "short and forceful" strike against Iran, possibly targeting infrastructure targets.
It is expected that Iran will then show greater flexibility on nuclear issues and return to the negotiating table.
Another plan likely to be presented to Trump is controlling parts of the Strait of Hormuz to restore commercial shipping traffic.
One source said such actions could include ground forces.
Another option, previously discussed and possibly included in the briefing, is conducting special forces operations to ensure control over Iranโs high-enriched uranium reserves.
Cooper gave a similar briefing to Trump on February 26, and two days later, the U.S. and Israel launched a war against Iran.
A person close to Trump said that it was that briefing that led to Trumpโs decision to go to war.
