Stopping loss is really like a breakup, the more you drag it out, the more you think "Maybe if I wait a little longer, it will get better," but in the end, not only is your mood worn out, but your position also pays interest every day. Basically, you're using time to prolong a wrong decision. I used to also tough it out, especially with options trading, when volatility kicks in, I would even add drama to myself: What if it suddenly reverses… Later I realized that admitting defeat early is actually easier, losses are fixed, but the torment of dragging it out is compounded interest.

Recently, I've been watching those blockchain games with inflation + studio rushes, when the coin price drops, it spirals downward, more like a relationship where you know something's wrong but still force yourself to hold on, and in the end, only "I can't accept it." Anyway, I’ve set a little rule for myself now: if I’m wrong, I walk away, leaving some emotion for the next adventure. How about you?
