Lately I've been looking into cross-chain bridges again, and the more I look, the more I want to set a few more alarms on my phone... Basically, a bridge is "someone else's signature + someone else's quote," multi-signature looks secure, but whether the signers are independent, whether the keys are decentralized, and whether the bridge can be stopped promptly if something goes wrong, I really can't fully trust it. Oracles are even more mysterious; normally you don't notice anything, but when extreme market conditions hit, they start testing human nature.

So now I usually wait for confirmation when transferring chains, better to be slow than to rush and end up complaining in the group about "why hasn't the funds arrived." It's a bit like the constant arguing over NFT royalties: everyone wants efficiency/liquidity, but ultimately someone bears the risk and cost... Anyway, I stick to discipline—if I should transfer less, I transfer less.
