Japan confirms that a Japanese-flagged supertanker has passed through the Strait of Hormuz

Golden Finance reported that on April 29, Japan’s Prime Minister Hayato Takachi posted on a social media platform, saying: “We have confirmed that the Japan-related vessel that was previously stranded in the Persian Gulf has safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz on April 29, has now left the Persian Gulf, and is en route to Japan. There are three Japanese crew members on board. The Japanese side has always held the view that it is necessary to ensure the free and safe navigation of all vessels, including Japanese vessels, through the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible. The Japanese side will take every opportunity to engage with Iran. I have personally conveyed our country’s position to Iranian President Pezeshkian.” (Dongxin News Agency)
