Just found out some people actually collect $2 bills and won't spend them because they're worth way more than face value lol. Like apparently if you've got one from 1890 or certain old versions, collectors will pay thousands for it. I had no idea people were that serious about this.

Got me thinking about whether you should even use $2 bills if you find one. Turns out there's legit reasons to hold onto them instead of just handing them over. Some are actually rare enough that spending them would be kind of dumb. The 1976 bicentennial ones especially - some with special serial numbers go for hundreds.

Plus apparently the Treasury barely prints them anymore compared to other bills, so they might get even more valuable down the line. And honestly, some people keep them for luck or sentimental reasons anyway.

Now I'm paranoid I've already spent some without checking lol. Has anyone actually found a valuable $2 bill? Or am I overthinking this?
