Just checked out the latest wealth rankings for 2025 and NYC still dominates with 384k millionaires, but what caught my eye is the Bay Area's insane 98% growth over the past decade. That's almost doubling their millionaire population. Meanwhile, cities like Tokyo and Singapore are holding steady but not seeing that explosive growth the US metros are experiencing. The report shows the US has 11 of the top 50 cities for millionaires overall, which is pretty wild when you think about global distribution. Interesting how emerging cities like Shenzhen saw 142% growth - that's where the real action is if you're looking at which city has the most millionaires emerging. Dubai's up 102%, Houston 75%. Seems like the wealth concentration is shifting faster than people realize, especially in tech hubs and financial centers.
