Just realized I've been overpaying for gas this whole time lol. Been testing out different apps to find cheaper prices and honestly it's a game changer if you actually take 5 minutes to research before pulling up to a pump.

So here's what I found works - GasBuddy has this solid app that shows you prices nearby, and if you use Google Maps or Waze anyway, they both show gas station prices too. Even Geico has a tool for this if you're already on their site. The key thing is just checking before you leave instead of randomly stopping somewhere. Driving around looking for deals defeats the purpose obviously.

Beyond the apps, I've been looking into other ways to actually save. Costco and Sam's Club memberships pay for themselves if you fill up there regularly - the discount is legible. Some stations have free rewards programs that knock off a few cents per gallon, which adds up. And honestly, just planning your errands better so you're not making extra trips helps more than people think.

One more thing - if you're using the wrong credit card to pay for gas, you're leaving money on the table. Gas rewards cards give you cash back every time you fill up. Seems small but it compounds.

Anyone else been hunting for how to find cheapest gas lately or is it just me being cheap lol
