Seriously, I was so clumsy earlier + pasted the wrong address—I almost sent my mainnet funds to some random contract address… After I clicked that one time, my heartbeat immediately went through the roof, so I hurriedly withdrew and started over. To be blunt, I’ve got a bit of “respect” for the mainnet now: when there’s more money, I don’t dare to click around randomly; when there’s less money, I definitely don’t want to burn gas to nothing.

My compromise now is this: for everyday small amounts and frequent operations, I just use L2—basically like a transit card: cheap, and not something I’d feel bad about if it goes wrong. If I really need to do something big (for example, moving back to a cold wallet, or if I don’t want to rely on a certain bridge), then I go to the mainnet and handle it all in one go. Cross-chain bridges have been acting up again lately… so I lean toward crossing less and slower—I’d rather wait longer for “confirmation consensus.” Especially when I see the oracle sometimes spitting out weird prices, then don’t rush to take that “cheap” deal. Waiting two more minutes won’t starve me. When gas is high, I treat it like weight loss—just don’t let your hands get itchy. For now, that’s it.
