MoonPay invests $100 million to acquire Israeli security company Sodot and establishes an institutional business division

ChainCatcher News, according to Bloomberg, cryptocurrency payment company MoonPay has acquired Israeli crypto security startup Sodot, and based on this, established a new division called “MoonPay Institutional,” focusing on serving institutional clients’ digital asset needs.

The division will provide services such as trading, tokenized securities, payments, wallet management, and stablecoin issuance to large traditional financial institutions. Former acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Caroline D. Pham will serve as the head of this division, having joined MoonPay at the end of 2025 as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.
