Got hit by mainnet gas for the third time… I want to do a little operation, but after checking a few transactions, my mindset is already half broken. At this point, I basically stick to one compromise: for everyday interactions and frequent small amounts, go to L2—it’s easier and cheaper. Don’t, just to save a few bucks, turn yourself into “someone who checks incoming funds every day.” If it’s something you’re holding long-term or dealing with permission-sensitive items (like large amounts or contract approvals), it’s still better to go back to the mainnet. It’s more expensive, but at least you can sleep at night.

Recently, there’s been a bunch of testnet incentives and point-boosting stuff, and in the group everyone keeps guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens. Honestly, I want that too, but I’m even more afraid that chasing those expectations will throw off my execution: don’t chase hot trends, don’t add leverage—do what’s quick and straightforward, then you’re done. Don’t treat yourself like a project KPI. Anyway, with controllable costs and simple steps, that’s the kind of experience I can keep up with.
