Golden Finance reports that, on April 29, according to a recent poll by Reuters/Ipsos, as Americans’ dissatisfaction with U.S. President Trump’s handling of the cost of living and his unpopular approach to the war with Iran grows, his approval rating has fallen to its lowest level during his current term. The poll shows that only 34% of Americans approve of Trump’s performance—down from the 36% approval rate in polls conducted from April 15 to 20. On Trump’s handling of the cost of living, only 22% of respondents said they approved, down from 25% previously. Since taking office in January 2025, Trump’s popularity among the American public has been on a downward trend, when 47% of Americans still approved of his performance.
