State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Graham Big, Director General of the UK National Crime Agency, in Beijing on the 23rd.

Wang Xiaohong said that China is willing to work with the UK, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, to deepen practical cooperation in areas including combating economic and financial crimes, telecom and network fraud, illegal immigration activities, and drug control; increase the coordination of actions within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and INTERPOL; strengthen cooperation on law-enforcement capacity building and experience exchange; and continuously promote the in-depth development of law-enforcement cooperation between China and the UK, so as to jointly safeguard the well-being of the people of both countries.

Graham Big said that he is willing to maintain close communication with China and jointly improve the level of law-enforcement cooperation between the two countries. ( Xinhua News Agency )
