Recently, social mining has started to compete again over points and badges, and I find it a bit exhausting. To be honest, many protocols make the "interaction path" resemble a product funnel: check-in—share—comment—invite others... You think you're accumulating identity, but actually you're feeding attention as fuel for growth. Points may be useful, but don't treat them like a paycheck, and don't spend two hours every day just to be an "early contributor."

My colleague also asked me these days, as the funding rates are extremely high, and there's a heated debate in the group about whether to reverse or continue squeezing the bubble. I can only say: the louder the emotions, the more you should go back and see what risks you've actually taken. My approach is pretty simple: only engage in interactions that clearly explain the value closed loop, and ignore the rest... Anyway, badges won't sleep for me.
