Lately, I keep hearing people say, “Modular chains are coming, and the experience will change,” but for someone like me, a terminal user, the bottom line is this: transfers/interactions shouldn’t get stuck, shouldn’t be too expensive, shouldn’t fail every other minute, and you should be able to switch back and forth between different applications without it feeling like moving house. For example, it’s like a food delivery platform breaking “placing an order, delivery, and payment” into separate parts—each one is handled by whoever’s strongest at it. All you care about is whether the meal arrives on time and doesn’t spill.

As for all that talk about staking being unlocked, and token unlock calendars being pulled up every day to scare people… I’m more like watching the weather forecast now: it might not rain, but I’ll bring an umbrella, and I’ll just tighten up my position—don’t get all excited and go mint, then forget everything. No matter how the technology gets taken apart and put back together, emotions are still the hardest part to scale.
