I'm now going on the mainnet just like visiting a tourist attraction: the gas fees are ridiculously high, and I still have to wait in line to confirm, honestly the experience is a bit inhumane... But some things can only be done on the mainnet, especially when moving funds back and forth, granting permissions, and so on, you still have to grit your teeth. Usually for small amounts, I just hide on Layer 2, because it's cheap and fast—really. Anyway, for someone like me who chases trends, when emotions kick in, I just want to click confirm. The simpler, the better—it's easier to slip up.

Recently, everyone has been talking about modularization and the DAO layer narrative. Developers are excited as if it's the New Year, but I, as a user, am just confused: you guys are happily building blocks, but I just want to pay less gas, and not have to jump around and get lost.

What I fear most isn't losing money, but losing control—once the operations get complicated and the steps increase, I tend to click randomly. Losing money is one thing, but the regret from clicking the wrong thing is even more tormenting. So now I try to set some simple rules for myself: only do what’s necessary on the mainnet, everything else can be on Layer 2. Let’s start with that.
