Today I was tidying up the table and found an old alarm clock, that ticking sound, and I suddenly thought that the most anti-human aspect of cross-chain bridges is "waiting for confirmation"... but honestly, it's really a lifesaver. Multi-signature and oracles are essentially about not letting one person or one signal have the final say; taking a bit more time, looking twice, at least can block a bunch of outrageous operations. Recently, new L1/L2s have started offering incentives to attract TVL, and veteran users curse "mining, selling, and dumping," I get it—when there's a lot of money, everyone wants to take shortcuts, and when a bridge gets clogged, they rush to switch to a faster one. As for me, someone who picks up scraps, I’d rather have the alarm clock ring a few more minutes than wake up to find that "confirmation was too fast"... for now, that's it.
