Elon Musk vs. OpenAI case jury selection, verdict for reference only
CryptoWorld News reports that the jury selection for Elon Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI has been completed, with 9 jurors chosen from 40 candidates after five hours of questioning. The jury’s verdict is “advisory,” and the final responsibility for the ruling will be decided by presiding judge Gonzalez Rogers. Altman and Brockman personally attended the selection process, and candidates generally held negative or neutral views of Musk and Altman. Only one candidate was excluded by the judge for explicitly stating an inability to be impartial toward Musk; all other requests were denied. Gonzalez Rogers stated, “The reality is people don’t like him,” and also pointed out that many people dislike Altman, but she believes the candidates showed respect for the judicial process. Outside the court, about 25 protesters organized under the name “everyone sucks here,” targeting both Musk and Altman.
