CICC Wealth Futures: The absolute price of lithium carbonate has already been quite high; caution is needed regarding the risk of chasing the market higher.

In March, China’s total production of power and energy storage batteries was 177.7 GWh, a month-on-month increase of 25.5% and a year-on-year increase of 50.2%, meeting expectations. Currently, overall production in April has increased compared to the previous month, and the industry chain is in a situation of strong supply and demand. Due to relatively strong demand, as well as export bans to Zimbabwe and disturbances at the Yichun mine end, supply and demand are both increasing. It is expected that lithium carbonate prices will continue to fluctuate with a slight upward trend, but considering that the absolute price of lithium carbonate is already high, attention should be paid to the risk of chasing the high.
