Nick Begich said that he plans to rename the bill related to a Bitcoin strategic reserve to the American Reserves Modernization Act (ARMA) and push the legislation forward again. If the bill is passed, it will establish Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset and codify it based on the executive order previously issued by President Trump regarding the creation of a permanent Bitcoin holding mechanism. The news was disclosed by Sarah Wynn on April 27, 2026.
