Yesterday, when I was checking on-chain data, I encountered that moment of "lagging," where nothing seemed to be happening, but the balance/position distribution kept spinning. It wasn't until later that I realized: many pages don't directly read the chain, but instead use indexers/subgraphs—these are "organized answers"—which have update delays, and when nodes are congested, it gets even slower; plus, RPCs also have rate limits, so if you request too much, you'll be queued or even dropped, making it look like the data suddenly fragments. Recently, everyone has been fixated on staking unlocks and token unlock calendars, and during that wave of anxiety, I also got curious and checked, but don't be scared by a single "lagging snapshot"... My current approach is to wait a few more minutes, switch RPCs or data sources to verify, better to be slow than to jump to false conclusions.
