Over the past couple of days, I’ve kept running into a bunch of discussions about modularization and DA layers. Developers seem genuinely excited, but for someone like me—a regular user—I basically just feel totally clueless: what does this actually have to do with my everyday transfers and using apps… The attention economy is brutal. Once the hotspot shifts, emotions follow, and my hands start itching.
Earlier, I would worry and at the same time keep an eye on all kinds of “information sources.” But day after day, I was being led around by notifications—watching more and more, wanting to keep chasing. In the end, I realized I wasn’t really researching; I was being trained to get repeatedly hyped. Later, I simply unfollowed a bunch of accounts, and my mindset stabilized a bit: having less information doesn’t mean having fewer opportunities—it just means having less noise.
Now I set a dumb rule for myself: when I hear a new narrative, I’ll wait a few days first. I’ll pay attention only after there are truly people using it on-chain, or if the fee structure/data changes. If I still don’t understand, I’ll admit I don’t understand—slowly accumulating positions still feels pretty solid. Anyway, so many times being exploited isn’t a technical problem; it’s because someone borrowed your attention.
