Today I was staring at the mempool again, zoning out... When the network is congested, your transaction is like waiting in line at a tourist attraction; if the gas fee is too low, someone cuts in line, if it's too high, you feel bad, and being stuck in the middle is the worst. The funniest part is: right after you click send, you're pretty confident, but if there's no movement after five minutes, you start doubting everything—"Did I send it to the wrong chain? Was I phished?" Anyway, emotions are even faster than on-chain.

Lately, hardware wallets have been out of stock everywhere, and phishing links are flying all over the place, making me feel like every time I confirm an address, I’m archaeology scraping—worried I might scrape out a hole. A couple of days ago, I just set up alerts/limits for my regular transfers, basically tying my own hands... Turns out, my mindset really changed: if the transaction is slow, so be it; at least I won’t slip up and send the whole wallet in a panic. Watching the show is fun, but life is more important.
