Recently, the new Xiaomi SU7 version has become popular again, turning into the dream car in the minds of many young people.

But once you have an investment and financial mindset, you’ll realize that buying a 300,000-yuan car actually means losing 1,000,000 yuan.
Let’s stretch the time horizon to 10 years:
Buy a 300,000-yuan car—10 years later, the car’s value is worth 0. As for the electricity bills, insurance, maintenance, and repair costs—let’s count them as 100,000 yuan in total—so the total spending is 400,000 yuan.
But if you invest that 300,000 yuan into an asset with an average annual return of 10%, it can grow to 780,000 yuan after 10 years.
On one side, the product value goes to 0, and you spend an extra 100,000; on the other side, the principal multiplies by 2.6 times.
In the end, just after 10 years, the wealth gap is already close to 1,000,000—and the lives they lead are completely different.
