$PI 《The Lonely Perseverance, Written for Pi’s Seventh Year》

Seven years—just a moment in the long river of history—has been enough to change many people’s choices.
Over 2,500 days and nights, I have stood watch over a consensus that countless people have mocked, questioned, and even cursed.

Some say this is fantasy; some laugh at my stubbornness. Even I, at times, can only give a bitter smile: in an era that only believes in “instant returns,” being willing to wait seven years for long-term value truly makes me an anomaly.

But the things that truly change the world are often born out of doubt, cold looks, and loneliness.
A tree does not grow upward—it first takes root downward.

What I await is never merely the result of Pi,
but also the conviction to hold fast to my own inner independent judgment, long-termism, and the belief that I will not follow the crowd.

If, in the end, it succeeds, it is a gift from the times;
if, in the end, it fails, at least I have sincerely believed in the future.
